National IT is seeking candidatesfor its Summer Intern program. This program provides an opportunity tocollaborate with a talented and dedicated team of information technology andsupport professionals. Job Summary: TheIntern will work under direct supervision and learn key aspects of thedaily operations of the Controls Advisory & Assurance Services (CAAS**) **team, and assist with the teams on-goingefforts and daily tasks. Duties may also include working on specificprojects/initiatives that part of the team high priority objectives for theyear. Other duties may entail creating/updating procedure leveldocumentation, participating in team meetings, and written and verbalcommunications across various areas of the Federal Reserve. ***Principal Duties and Responsibilities: ** * Under direct supervision, assists with on-going efforts/daily tasks on the CAAS team in the following areas: * Audit liaison activities, including meeting attendance, assistance with Advisors in handling audit issue management and closure package reviews. * Innovation/Automation development for reporting activities and control analysis, including work in COSO QA and workflow automation. * Assistance in administrative activities and special projects, such as website development, control evaluation and assessment, and various interpretations of applicability of industry-frameworks (ITRM, COBIT, etc.). * Performs other incidental duties as required. PositionRequirements: ** ** Education/Experience: * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or Information Assurance, or Information Systems focused curriculum. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly desired. * General knowledge of business skills and operating proficiency in MS Office products. * General knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in information services management. * Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail are required. Acts as a team player, is cooperative and encourages collaboration. * Understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her functions risk management. * Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy. * Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate action to be taken. PreferredRequirements:* * Foundational information systems knowledge (databases, networking, applications, servers). * General knowledge of audit, compliance, security, and risk management concepts * Ability to interpret complex data sets and develop high-level narratives for management and team consumption. * Demonstrated strong analytical skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in team environments. * Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills. * Ability to work through tasks conceptually to achieve goals without explicit deliverables. * Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of NIT/System management, technical staff, customers. * Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and respond to change in a positive manner. *Other/Additional Requirements: Thisposition works under close supervision and guidance in planning details ofestablished procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. It hasresponsibility for planning and performance with guidance or assistance onprofessional aspects of work. Subject matter handled can be sensitive and requiresuse of discretion. Has frequent contact with assigned mentor to discussassignments/project and to determine resources and report status. Hasfrequent contacts with other Reserve System staff/management during projectrelated work and group meetings. Contacts require use of persuasion,effective responsiveness, professional presentation, diplomacy and tact. Follows established methods and clear-cut policy with supervision. Mostwork can be performed while seated. USCitizenship or US Permanent Resident status is required.
