Reserve Bank of Kansas City is recruiting for the position of Research Intern. Our economists research a range of topics with an emphasis on macroeconomics. For the fall of 2018, we are offering a paid research internship for an undergraduate student. The intern will work with an economist and research associate on projects comparing the growth of metropolitan areas over the long run. The work will include data building, econometric analysis, numerical modeling, and summarizing results. The position is an excellent fit for students with an interest in urban topics who are considering pursuing a Ph.D. in economics. Applicants must be able to work 10 hours per week and should meet the requirements below. Required Education and Skills: Student in economics or a closely related field. Outstanding academic record Excellent computer intuition and ability to think algorithmically. Strong communication skills.
