This role is perfect for recent grads and those still early in their career.

The Fee Staff Examiner candidate will assist the Financial and Regulatory Surveillance Department ("FRS") in day-to-day activities by conducting fee examinations of clearing member firms and periodic reviews of non-clearing member firms and incentive program participants in accordance with standardized examination programs. The FRS Fee Staff Examiner is responsible for detailed examination testing and documentation of assigned fee examinations to ensure compliance with CME Fee Policy Bulletins as well are other exchange rules, regulations, and policies.

The Financial and Regulatory Surveillance Department has primary regulatory responsibility for CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX clearing members through CME Group's four self-regulatory organizations as well as primary exchange clearing fee review responsibility.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Responsible for assigned clearing fee and member firm/incentive program examinations working from examination programs and firm internal (i.e. equity system and customer account files) and external (bank statement and CME Clearing organization data) documentation.

• Import and download clearing fee data and manipulate data as needed.

• Perform detailed examination testing and documentation of assigned reviews.

• Learn and understands Exchange Fee Schedules.

• Learn firm's exchange fee processes, understand equity system documents, analyze third party documents.

• Learn and understand various systems including Exchange Fee System, Enterprise Database and Infosource.

• Learn and understand rules and regulations (i.e., Fee Policy Bulletins, Market Advisories, Exchange rules, Q&A Guidelines).

• Identify examination issues and problems, document findings in a clear and concise manner and communicate findings, recommendations, and financial assessments to the clearing member firm.

• Follow the examination process from beginning to end.

Skills / Software Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Marketing (with emphasis on Information Systems) or Computer Science

Local to Chicago, able to come into office on Hybrid schedule
