    Reconciliation Representative III The Expertise Were Looking For *

    2-3 years of relevant industry experience * Bachelors Degree expected, preferably in either Accounting, Finance or Economics The Purpose of Your Role The Reconciliation Representative III is responsible for daily tasks associated with reconciliation, reporting, exception research and resolution along with other responsibilities. May serve as a primary contact for internal and external business partners on some routine operational issues. Ensure the integrity of the firms books records by balancing various exceptions and reconciliations. Reconcile cash activity and successfully research and resolve discrepancies discovered during the reconciliation process. Performs project work, looks for process improvements, partakes in training and development opportunities and is part of a larger team effort. The Skills You Bring * Strong understanding of reconciliations and industry regulations * Proficient in across multiple security types/products and their process flows * Strong understanding of cash & securities movement * Strong knowledge of processes, systems, and tools used by the teams to perform reconciliations (Fiserv Frontier and/or SunGard Invest One preferred) * Able to effectively research discrepancies * Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (such as Word or Excel) * Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively * Ability to recognize high risk items and escalate those items or seek assistance to minimize potential loss to either the shareholder and or / Fidelity * Ability to determine root cause of issue The Value You Deliver * Reconcile Fidelity account activity with Custodian Banks. The reconciliation is performed in FPCMS cash reconciliation system called Frontier. It is important to reconcile the data so the analysts can identify and prioritize what needs to researched first. * Research and resolve cash exceptions with the appropriate custodian bank. Identify cause of exemption, who is responsible for resolution, document status into Frontier. * Utilize resources and follow escalation procedures * Assist Team Lead with providing exception status reports to onshore counterparts. * Works independently to complete daily/monthly activities * Analyze and review daily/monthly reconciliations * Provide daily support of business relationships with fund accounting and custodian banks * Identify and participate in development of cross-divisional business initiatives * Participate in continuous process improvement across the organization * Expected to be key contributors to positive workplace and shared success

    • Enhance knowledge or skill set within their functional area through personal development * Assist with maintenance of departmental procedures * Accountable for accurate and timely reconciliations and exception resolution, along with successfully researching discrepancies.
    • Act in the role of an escalation point of research and resolution of moderately complex cash issues * Provide subject matter expertise, oversight, some problem resolution, and training as required * Provide timely customer service to internal and external business partners * Think Critically How Your Work Impacts the Organization As part of Fidelitys Pricing and Cash Management Services (FPCMS) business unit the Fund Operations team provides accounting and pricing services to all of the Fidelity Retail and Institutional products, supporting multiple asset managers (i.e. FMR, SAI, GEODE, Pyramis, FIJ and FIC). These services include books and records maintenance, securities pricing, and net asset value, yield and distribution rate calculations. The division is comprised of 5 business units, representing approximately 400 associates located primarily in 2 sites; Merrimack, NH, and Westlake, TX.
