The Ameriprise Financial Finance Leadership Development Program offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company by performing diverse finance responsibilities. Our finance professionals are responsible for financial support, analysis and strategic direction for the Ameriprise Financial business units and overall company.
The Finance Leadership Development Program has played a major role in recruiting and developing our future finance and business leaders for over 45 years. The 24 month rotation program provides recent graduates with a broad finance background that will prepare them for a variety of future opportunities. Participants will complete three rotations. Rotation assignments are based on business need and participant interest.

After exploring a breadth of finance roles, participants will post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will vary depending on rotation area and may include:
Prepare a cost benefit analysis to determine expected benefits of a new product or program.
Analyze profit and loss statements and recommend solutions to grow revenues and manage expenses.
Balance sheet management, due diligence and process re-engineering.
Prepare expense and revenue forecasts and analyze trends and variances from plan and prior forecasts.
Work with a team conducting an audit and testing controls of a business process.
Evaluate business risks and opportunities to mitigate risk.
Assist with the creation of a cash flow spreadsheet for purposes of dividend planning.
Perform analysis of taxable income from investments, variance analysis and year over year trends.
Current seniors pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree majoring in finance, accounting, or economics.
Excellent academic performance; a minimum of a 3.3 GPA.
Commitment to complete the full 24-month leadership development program.
Previous internship experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Extensive student leadership experience.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Able to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
High level of self-motivation with demonstrated integrity and ethics.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to pick up new concepts quickly.
