    As a Financial Analyst you will serve as Finance partner for the Business Banking Segment in CMB (Commercial Banking). Responsibilities may also include support to the other segments within CMB including business financial analysis to drive business performance and support management decision making. Works with senior management and finance partners to provide financial and technical analysis regarding business opportunities, current product lines, key performance indicators. Deliver presentations on analysis, trends, metrics and results. Consult with other departments to provide data and analysis. Partner with other business finance colleagues across other lines of business on relevant matters.

    As our Financial Analyst you will:

    • Provide critical analysis of the actual and forecasted financial position of CMB Business
    • Support senior management decision making in Banking and Other CMB Business Segments
    • Prepare materials for executive and management committee meetings including efforts to create efficiency across CMB business segment reporting
    • Work collaboratively across multiple teams and locations
    • Support the Senior Analyst with a variety of activities (generate MI analysis, create business strategy materials, create financial resource planning)

    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $100,400.00 and $150,600.00.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, business management, related field or equivalent experience (MBA preferred)
    • Proven financial and/or business analysis experience, or equivalent
    • Financial modeling / analysis experience (managing large amounts of data to understand complex issues and effectively translate findings into clear and concise concepts for peers and management
    • Project management capabilities demonstrating strong collaboration and relationship building
    • Systems and reporting knowledge (familiarity with FTP, Clearview, TM1 global cubes, and Tableau preferred)
    • Strong interpersonal skills as well as presentation / communication skills
    • Familiarity with US accounting rules, US regulations, IFRS, US GAAP, the US banking market, US economy and conditions
