The Financial Control Analyst will join the Global Finance, that is integral to HSBC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. Our global team of Finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward looking analysis, accuracy, efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions. The Financial Control Analyst will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the Finance Asset Management team, including support on month end, intercompany and third-party client billing, aged debt and receivable management, business agreements, cash flow, and assist with financial analysis projects including operating plans and forecasts. Provide support for timely and accurate reporting of financial results following IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Here’s what you can expect:
Monitoring, understanding and providing support for month-end closure financials of the Asset Management entity in the USA.
Researching and analysis of financial data identifying key drivers of variances to plan, forecast, and prior periods.
Working closely with the Accounting team to ensure proper support of revenue accruals and expense recoveries including current agreements and calculations.
Reviewing and controlling balance sheet and cash flow activity.
Assisting with the monthly and quarterly close, preparing schedules and analysis to support reporting requirements.
Reviewing and leading clear articulation of financial terms of business agreements, monitoring affiliate transactions ensuring they are in line with existing terms.
Calculating and processing of portal fees, third-party and Inter-Company billings.
Reviewing reconciliation and owning the control of the aging of receivables and payables. Follow up with parties on pending receivables and manage the company's payables.
Overseeing offshore activities related to cube submissions of assets, sales, and financials. Reporting and supporting reconciliation of incoming and outgoing assets manufactured on behalf of other AMG offices
Work effectively and liaise with other entities' global controllers, the Business, and the Accounting & Control teams.
Assist with Financial and Business transformation and regulatory projects.
Driving efficiency/improvement within the role processes and ensuring visibility and transparency.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $101,700 and $152,500.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience; CPA designation preferred.
You’ll have background with operating in a complex financial services organization (banking preferred) or recent college graduate with degree in accounting/finance.
You will bring your execution orientated: proactive escalation of issues whilst maintaining solution-focused and flexible approach to the team.
You’ll have experience interacting with stakeholders with varying degrees of financial literacy, Strong influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
Your understanding of Agile, change mindset, dynamic and inquisitive / curious approach to work will be an asset to the team
You’ll have sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving abilities
