The Advisor Business Development Group is a 100 person strong team that consults and coaches our 10,000 advisors nationwide. We work with advisors on delivering high quality advice to their current clients as well as bringing new clients into their practices. As an intern working on our team, you will experience how our business delivers a unique client experience based on comprehensive financial advice. With access to best-in-class leadership, state of the art financial planning tools and systems and robust marketing systems, you will assist our team as they work with advisors to ensure our clients feel more confident about their financial future.

Ameriprise Financial does not offer internships for students with F-1 visas.

Responsibilities may include:

• Learning about our financial planning tool suite and associated systems.
• Partnering with our financial advice sales consulting team on financial planning case design.
• Designing client friendly presentations in conjunction with our financial planning advanced advice team for high net worth clients.
• Researching financial planning trends in the industry and with clients.

Required Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Current Juniors enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program.
• Demonstrated leadership focus with ability to drive results.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Possess an analytical mindset & strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Desire to work in Financial Services.
• Major in financial planning.
• High level of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
• Ability to influence and strong relationship management skills.
