The Financial Risk Management (FRM) Intern will work collaboratively with TD Ameritrade associates on tactical and strategic projects that will help build risk management practices and better client experiences Applicants should have strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills with a background and/or interest in markets and trading. Individuals must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. Internship will last 10-12 weeks in the summer (32 hours per week, 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday-Thursday) .

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in continuous improvement (CI) projects that will enhance the risk management and the client experience
• Research, analyze, and present findings and recommendations for assigned projects
• Proactively seek opportunities to learn more about TD Ameritrade's business and stay current with financial industry and market trends.
• Job shadow in other TD Ameritrade departments
• Develop a functional understanding of trading platforms and trading strategies

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's Degree (industry related discipline preferred) with GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Junior or Senior level
• Interest and/or passion for development of financial services industry knowledge
• Analytical with strong problem solving skills
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task and detail-oriented
• Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus
• Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
