    Job Description

    Finn Partners is seeking a college graduate to join our unique training program that combines client-focused responsibilities with practical skills training in public relations and integrated communications. This program is paid and is six months in duration, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position at the end of the program.

    As a Partner in Training (PIT) in our Portland office, you will learn the foundation of integrated communications, ranging from writing, media relations, social media, presentations skills and more, while supporting our rapidly growing client roster spanning consumer, health, technology and financial services. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you will be empowered to make a difference, drive outcomes and garner hands-on industry experience working alongside both junior and senior staff at one of the fastest growing global marketing communication firms. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

    • Build and update media, influencer and vendor lists and databases
    • Develop content for client campaigns, such as drafting pitches, press releases, media alerts, interview briefs and social media posts
    • Participate in research and analysis projects
    • Coordinate social media content, partnerships and influencer collaborations
    • Participate in creative brainstorms and strategy development sessions
    • Assist in administrative duties such as client meeting summaries and tracking and logging media coverage and campaign results

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • College/university graduate with prior experience in PR/marketing/communications and/or relevant course work
    • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once
    • Proven ability to collaborate with a team, actively prepare and participate in all meetings
    • Positive, go-getter attitude, and strong work ethic
    • Passion for the marketing and communications industry
    • Strong writing skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Able to work remotely/onsite at the Finn Partners Portland office for 7-8 hours each weekday
