Job Description

Job Summary: The Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist works in the Loan Services department to process and service mortgage loans for the financial institution.

Essential Functions:

• Review Mortgage Loan documents for accuracy
• Enter the Mortgage loan data into the core system manually and from other software systems
• Enter Escrow information into the core system
• Review new loans and documents for accuracy after being entered into the system
• Process Payments
• Process Payoffs and Release of Liens
• Process incoming Insurance
• Image New Loan documents and incoming documents
• Establish and maintain permanent imaging files and retrieve files as requested.
• Enter data into the Document Tracking System
• Work documentation exception lists
• Compose and type routine correspondence and memos using word processing software
• Answer telephone inquiries and provide information as requested
• Perform other related duties as required

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
• Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping.
• Ability to work with others as a team and also independently
• Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
• Ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required.

Preferred Education and Experience

High School Diploma and familiarity with mortgage loan documents, mortgage lending, and banking experience preferred.
