Yes City Nashville State TN Description Software Development Intern - Ruby (Neobank) Position located in Nashville, TN This Internship opportunity is a PAID opportunity and for Fall Semester 2018. Part Time -- will average 10-15 hours per week As a member of First Tennessees Neobank effort, the Software Development Intern will participate in the development of the Neobanks software platform and related support software. The ideal candidate will be skilled at application development and design, implementing algorithms and data structures, understanding computer operating systems and networks, and applying analytical thinking. Familiarity with the Fintech industry is desirable. The Neobank team operates as an autonomous group and offers a unique opportunity to work within a startup-like environment with the resources of a large financial institution. The position will be based in an offsite innovation lab to enable the team to develop their own culture and operating practices. Responsibilities: Assist with the creation of custom software for the Neobank platform Create working frontend prototypes to assist with product design and end user feedback gathering Research tools and techniques the team could use to create software better or faster Present findings in a succinct and easily digestible manner Collaborate with team members on additional projects related to the Neobanks launch Requirements 2.75 GPA Required Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree with an expected graduation date in late 2018 or Spring/Summer of 2019 or 2020 Experience doing software development in some capacity personal, academic, or professional Strong interest in the fintech industry Ability to work with little direction Collaborates effectively with other team members Adapts to change quickly Data visualization skills are a plus Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) #LI-DD1 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender stereo typing, and age.
