internship will be part of the Capital Bank's PRIVATE CLIENT department.
Position is located in Charlotte, NC. This Internship will provide:
Knowledge of the companys First Power culture, vision and mission
statements A broader perspective on how First Horizon services the
community and region as a whole. The opportunity to participate in
and/or lead the completion of assigned, short-term projects requested by
managers The opportunity to acquire specific skills that are needed to
achieve professional goals and aspirations. Hands-on work experience in
the field Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on
Monday, June 4, 2018 and runs through Friday, August 3, 2018. Intern
Objective: To provide an exciting and mutually beneficial internship
that supports the premier customer service delivery to our high net
worth customer base while delivering real world experience to the
candidate and exposure to career options in the field. Value for the
Intern: The Intern will learn how to successfully work with the teams
within the Private Client group (Private Client Relationship Managers,
Portfolio Managers, Financial Planners, Advisors, Management, etc.) and
how to be a valued part of that team as a whole. Job Description/
Delivery: The Intern will be tasked with completing projects and
presenting ideas to leadership. Assigned projects can be accomplished in
the 9-week period. Success will be measured by the following
demonstrated capabilities: Identify trends in the existing Private
Client portfolio and quantify impact of bank initiatives on portfolio
growth. Examine and analyze personal and commercial financial statements
and tax returns. Spread commercial financial statements in Moody's
Spreading software. Participate in a Book Study with the Private Client
Team. HOURS: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Average 40 hours per
week. Will average 40 hours per week. 2.75 GPA Required Requirements
2.75 GPA Required Positive attitude and proactive work ethic. Basic
financial and accounting knowledge, with an understanding of financial
statements. Experience in Microsoft Office Particularly Excel, with an
understanding of Pivot Tables. Strong written/verbal communication
skills. Excellent organizational skills, including exemplary attention
to detail and accuracy. Ability to work proactively with a team, as well
as individually, in order to get projects accomplished. #LI-DD1 All
