No City Houston State TX Description Job Purpose: Primarily responsible for supporting the Portfolio Manager and Relationship Manager in monitoring customer base for credit policy compliance, structural soundness, and credit weakness by performing a full credit analysis that includes, but not limited to: (I) spreading financial statements; (II) calculating financial ratios; (III) analyzing company's financial strength, (IV) preparing financial models; and (V) conducting industry & peer research and comparative analysis. Duties & Responsibilities: 25% - Successfully complete in-house and external training requirements. In addition to regular on-boarding, the Credit Analyst will complete basic financial analysis and spread training as well as basic credit training. The position will require the Credit Analyst to have a understanding of accounting, financial analysis, bank policy, procedures, and guidelines as it pertains to underwriting. 50% - Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to complete daily tasks. These tasks include loan underwriting, completing renewals, financial analysis, covenant compliance, clearing exceptions, functions within iCL, as well as contacting customers to obtain necessary information. 25% - Works with the loan administration and client specialists to manage delinquencies on loans; reports troublesome loans to the senior credit officer and commercial line manager on a timely basis. Ensures that the systems of record are accurate for the loans being administered; ensures that management information is reported timely and accurately; obtains satisfactory loan reviews and ensures that regular audits are performed. Requirements Education Required: Bachelors (Accounting, Finance, Economics, & General Business) Education Preferred: Bachelors Experience Required: 0-2 years Experience Preferred: 2-4 years Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills Proficient with applicable computer software. Good written and oral communication skills Good organizational and customer service skills Good fundamental understanding of general bank operations, proficient understanding of the components of financial planning, deposit products, small business products, investment and insurance products.
