Forbes Consumer Marketing team is seeking a business associate to join the Consumer Marketing team. Reporting to the VP, Subscription Business Operations, the role will help build our metered paywall/subscription business by tracking business trends and providing insights based on accurate data and actionable reports. Participate in monitoring business performance

Responsibilities include:

• Ongoing tracking of subscription business performance through the compilation of data and clear reporting.
• Identify trends and make recommendations based on business metrics.
• Prepare and maintain regular financial, transaction, and other business reports.
• Assist in updating financial and subscription models.
• Act as a power user of subscription platform and liaise with platform provider as needed.
• Participate in the configuration and use of the platform to achieve goals.
• Analyze, communicate, collaborate across functions on the performance of the business or progress of initiatives.
• Suggest process improvements and identify new opportunities.
• Organize tasks and resources to complete assignments on a timely basis.
• Special projects and analyses as requested.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum two years experience in a similar role or business environment.
• Possess above average math skills, excellent PC skills and high level of proficiency in Excel.
• Have previous experience in a subscription-model business, media/publishing preferred.
• Have previous experience working with the systems Piano and Looker or other similar subscription and BI tools. Previous experience with circulation modeling a plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn tools/systems quickly and achieve expertise on technology platforms.
• Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrate the ability to spot patterns and trends.
• Be a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and conscientiously.
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
• Be open to mentoring by an experienced leader and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.
