Foreign Exchange Options (G10) Trader, supporting the market risk management, pricing and business development relating to Foreign Exchange Derivatives Trading activities.
Impact on the Business
FX Options pricing and market risk management
Drives the development of business initiatives with regard to the development of technical trading tools.
Provides timely and accurate dealing services for clients in the assigned area of FXO trading expertise.
Manages the firm’s inventory and trading risk under supervision and as assigned in compliance with all applicable regulation within a given business area.
Deliver fair outcomes for customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
Provides consistent pricing and market making to sales force and target clients
Executes firm and customers' trades in accordance with desk Volcker designation and may contribute to the formulation of trading strategies
Ensures all trades are booked to front office position keeping system on the day they are executed
Reconciles daily and/or monthly reports, as assigned
Drives the development of business initiatives with regard to the development of technical trading tools.

Role Context
This role will be based in New York, working directly with, and under supervision from, the Americas Head of FX and PM Options
The business offers clients 24-hour global coverage together with a detailed knowledge of local markets. Our services are offered in more than 60 countries and territories worldwide.
Management of Risk
Observation of Internal Controls
Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $125,000.00 and $150,000.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements
Strong understanding of FX Options risk management, its products, client sets, systems and key processes
Experience in pricing and risk management
Ability to provide consistent pricing to clients and managing inventory and risk
Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and collaboration skills
Track record working in global team and dealing with a diverse group of stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment with continuous changes, including regulatory change
Mindset and track record challenging the status quo and improving operational efficiency
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Fluency in English and second language is preferable
