FRESHMAN DISCOVERY DIVERSITY PROGRAM

The Freshman Discovery is an introductory experience focused on helping freshmen of diverse backgrounds understand the financial services industry, gain technical skills, and kickoff the career planning process. The program is designed for Black, Hispanic and/or Women of all majors. If selected, you’ll spend two days at Citi’s Global Headquarters in New York City on May 22nd and 23rd, 2023. The program includes peer networking, case studies, business overviews, technical skills training and access to professionals and recruiters across the firm.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino and/or Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply

• Freshman currently enrolled in a four-year baccalaureate degree program from a US accredited institution

• Have an expected graduation date between December 2025 - May 2026

• You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Freshman Discovery is open to all disciplines and majors. Candidates are selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and leadership skills. In order to be considered, interested candidates must submit a resume and cover letter. Please note there will be a separate survey sent out to registrants requesting additional information to be filled to be considered for the program. Additionally, please ensure your Avature profile is up to date with your latest resume attached and cover letter. 

The cover letter (300 words maximum) should outline your interest in the program and/or why you should be selected to participate. Please note, all applicants are expected to submit a resume and cover letter as one document to be considered . Applications close April 10th, 2023 and all applicants will be reviewed after the application deadline.
