The Basics of a Branch Associate I:
- Located at 12319 N Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78758
- Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
- Rotating Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm
What you'll do as a Branch Associate I:
In the Branch Associate role, you will serve members in a hybrid capacity conducting both Teller and Member Services related transactions. You will work to create a top-tier experience for our members and proactively assist with their financial services needs by opening accounts, submitting loan applications, problem-solving member issues, building relationships, and educating members on additional products and services to improve their financial lives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a top-tier experience for members in branch, drive-thru and over the phone.
- Learn and be familiar with Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Engage members on financial products and services using a needs-based approach.
- Open new accounts and products including savings, checking, debit cards, money market, CDs, and select loan products for consumer members. ****
- Process all member transactions to include payments, deposits, withdrawals, transfers.
- Process all member account maintenance.
- Problem-solve member issues of a basic nature through various communication channels including in-branch, phone, email, etc.
- Listen to cues from members to evaluate and determine needs for additional products and services; make referrals to product experts (Ex. Financial Advisors and third-party partners).
- Complete opening and end-of-day procedures for branch.
- Actively participate in volunteer events through our Greater Good program.
- Under the umbrella of the credit union’s overall risk mitigation efforts:
- Adhere to established security protocols to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
- Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
- Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
