The Funding Specialist position will be responsible for reviewing automobile loan applications and communicating with loan applicants and the sales team regarding the loan application process.

WHAT IS A DAY IN THE LIFE AT FLAGSHIP AS A FUNDING SPECIALIST?

• Review and verify all assigned funding package documents received on a daily basis for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Truth-in-Lending laws, ensure adherence to credit approvals, policies, and procedures and established company guidelines

• Interview customers for documentation details and confirm contract terms and collateral values

• Follow-up with customers for required stipulations to be able to complete funding packages

• Ensure proof of income and dealer stipulations are received and validated

• Verify employment, residence, and income; determine and document any variance from the original loan application received

• Calculate various forms of income on incoming contracts and identify potentially fraudulent pay stubs through calculation deviations and/or visual inspection

• Ensure accuracy of loan information in the originations system

• Work collaboratively with dealers, sales, credit, and funding team members to resolve contract package deficiencies.

ABOUT YOU:

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Preferred: AA/AS degree, Bachelor’s degree a plus

• Required: 2+ years of experience in the loan processing/funding/originations field in a fast-paced auto loan environment

• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in the sub-prime finance industry

• Strong computer skills: Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel

• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

• Detail oriented with above-average organizational skills

• Able to adapt to changing business needs

• Available to work a flexible work schedule
