Technical Writer needs 5 years' experience
Technical writer requires:
Locations, Charlotte, NC; Iselin, NJ; New York, NY
• 5 years' experience in technical writing
• Prior experience working with technology teams
• Strong communications skills, including written, verbal and presentation
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
• strong writing skills, the ability to synthesize technical content from an subject matter expert (SME) to create technical documentation, training materials, "How To Guides", Implementation documents, etc. - that clearly explain technical competences to technical and end users based on their persona.
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in experience in English, Communication, Journalism,
• Prior experience working within IT Infrastructure or Application Development departments
Technical Writer duties:
• Undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
• Write software documentation from technical specifications, discussions with engineers, and hands-on experimentation
• Produce How-Tos, tutorials, user guides, and knowledge base content
• Contribute to doc standards, including participating in peer editing
• Update existing docs to reflect changes to functionality
