Position Summary: The Jr. Processor/Loan Opener will work closely with the Senior Processor, Senior Lending Officer, and Underwriter, in the processing and closing of mortgage loans(i.e. consumer, commercial, residential). In addition to loan processing, he/she will be required to work with customer service, transactional processing and filing as need. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Order and review all loan file documentation, i.e. appraisal, title commitment, verifications of employment, deposits, etc. for accuracy and completeness * Work with internal and external customer to ensure documents are collected and conditions are cleared in a timely fashion * Review new loan files on a daily basis for accuracy, with input from Sr Processor/Loan Officer/Underwriter * Review lock agreements and Purchase Contract to ensure closing occurs within given time period * Provide outstanding customer service and display a positive attitude at all times * Complete other duties as assigned by team lead/manager (i.e Loan File Exception Tracking Report or Rate updating) * Participate in all required training for processors and compliance * Participate in bank events: Lending workshops/Festivals/Marketing Qualifications: * High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent * College Degree preferred: 2 year Associates or 4 yr Bachelors * 1-2 yrs of experience mortgage loan processing required * 1-2 yrs experience with LaserProfor processing loans mandatory * Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers * Intermediate Computer Skills/ Microsoft Word/Excel * Strong organizational and data gathering skills * Professional and effective interpersonal skills * Attention to detail and able to multitask * Ability to manage a pipeline * Teamwork and customer service skills a must * Self-motivated and highly organized Physical Demands: On the job, the employee may physically be required to bend, sit, push/pull, use finger movements, handle objects, reach above shoulder level and carry/lift loads up to 35lbs. on the job, the employee must mentally be able to read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
