    OPS LEARNING COMMONS TUTOR  

    (WILLIAM D. LAW JR. LEARNING COMMONS)

    HIRING SALARY: Between $10.00 - $16.00 per hour (based on experience and education level)

     

    HOURS:  25 hours per week, Monday – Friday

     

    MAJOR FUNCTIONS:  This position will be responsible for providing small group and one-on-one tutoring services to TCC students in specific areas: 

     

    CURRENTLY SEEKING TUTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:

    • ACCOUNTING
    • ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
    • BIOLOGY
    • CHEMISTRY
    • ECONOMICS
    • ENGLISH
    • HISTORY
    • MATH
    • PROGRAMMING
    • PSYCHOLOGY
    • SPANISH

     

    MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: This position requires successful completion of coursework in whatever subjects you are interested in tutoring. A college degree is not required, but is preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Successful applicants must be able to conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students needing assistance in mathematics courses ranging from Development Math to Statistics. Although preference will be given to applicants who can tutor across all college-level math courses, applicants who are proficient in tutoring at least four college math courses will be considered for employment.  Successful applicants will possess working knowledge of Windows operating system, MS Office, online learning platforms, and related desktop applications.
