  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for preparation of all loan documentation. Manage all construction related loans. Perform SBA loan servicing actions. Ensures that covenants are upheld, that Federal regulations are adhered. Package and sell loans into the secondary market.  Perform a variety of duties within the Business Services Department supporting SBA lending and other aspects of the department’s commercial lending activities.

     

    THE JOB (THE BIG STUFF):

    • Prepare loan documentation for all loan types.
    • Perform peer review of loan documentation for all loan types.
    • Verify loan conditions.
    • Review SBA Authorization for accuracy and compare with loan approval. 
    • Review leases, prelims and borrowing entity documents.
    • Work with Members and Landlords to resolve concerns over Landlord’s Consent.
    • Prepare all loan modifications, extensions for loans.
    • Prepare substitution of Collateral and follow to insure RCU does not lose collateral position.
    • Secure collateral for loans, UCC filing etc.
    • Review loan packages prior to funding for compliance with all conditions.
    • Prepare wire and funding sheet to fund loans.
    • Follow up for documentation temporarily waived post-closing, to ensure receipt.
    • Follow up, review and approve all ALTA policies and/or satisfactorily resolve all discrepancies with Title Company.
    • Satisfactorily resolve all post-closing audit exceptions.

    Required Skills

    WHAT'S NEEDED IN THE ROLE:

    • Extensive knowledge of SBA loan packaging, documentation and servicing and commercial real estate loan closing procedures and practices.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to use judgment and discretion in making decisions.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
    • Ability to prioritize, organize time, and work independently.
    • Skill in operation of a PC with Internet and intranet access and the use of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.

    Required Experience

    ADDITIONALLY, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

    • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in SBA and business lending documentation and process administration.
