Learn more about GTL by visiting We are currently seeking an Accounting Intern within the Financial Accounting department for summer 2019. This internship is a short-term, temporary employment opportunity for summer 2019. The goal of an internship is to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience necessary to prepare the student for a successful career in accounting. Responsibilities: * Assist Accounts Payable with input, validation and weekly payment cycles * Complete monthly carrier reconciliations for subsidiaries as assigned * Complete monthly bank reconciliations as assigned * Assist in the monthly general closing process including journal entries and completing reporting package with analysis * Assist with the annual reinsurance review analysis by reviewing other insurance company financials and writing up a high level summary * Complete General ledger account reconciliations as assigned * Assist with annual inventory of fixed assets * Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned Requirements: * Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance ? senior or junior year * Demonstrate a comfort level in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities * Must have excellent communication and organizational skills * Needs strong attention to detail * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills required - Word, Excel and Access required We invite you to learn more about GTL's rich history at www.GTLtimeline.com.
