Summer 2019 Customer Support Internship **Internship Overview ** Our Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving Fortune 250 global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our regional offices. **Role Description ** The Customer Support/Service team provides assistance and advice to customers who purchase or use Guardians products or services. Opportunities in this area can include: * Claims - gathers claims investigation information, makes claims decisions and handles customer inquiries/problems related to general claims processing (i.e., health, life, disability, annuities, AD&D, critical illness). * Client Service Delivery - manages the delivery of contracted services to clients to ensure that SLAs (service level agreements) and KPI (key performance indicators) as defined in the relevant contracts are met or exceeded. Maintains tight control over the project schedule, risks, scope of work and budget; ensures that operational teams and subcontractors have a clear understanding of client requirements. Builds and maintains strong client relationships and provides day-to-day client advice and support. * Customer Support - Learn about the insurance service capabilities. Participate in special projects using analytical skills, project management skills, and organizational skills. The opportunity includes use of excel, power point and development of presentation skills. Education/Qualification: * Enrolled in Undergraduate Degree Program * Strong analytical skills * Creative problem-solving skills ~Housing is not provided~ Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
