The HBCU Innovation and Leadership Symposium is designed for undergraduate freshmen and sophomores. It serves as an introductory experience focused on helping freshmen and sophomores HBCU students understand financial services, gain technical skills and kickoff the career planning process.

The HBCU Innovation and Leadership Symposium is a two-day immersive experience held in late September at Citi's Headquarters in New York City. The HBCU Innovation and Leadership Symposium is a leadership program. As a participant, you'll have the opportunity to network with students, learn about the future of work at Citi, hear from senior leaders and recent graduates, learn technical and soft skills and accelerate your career development.
We want to hear from you if...
You are a Freshman or Sophomore currently enrolled in a four-year Baccalaureate Degree program at an HBCU
Have an expected graduation between Spring 2025 and Spring 2026
Have an interest in financial services or want to explore the opportunities available within the industry
Strong Academic performance required
You are a U.S. Citizen, US permanent resident or possess other unrestricted US work authorization and will not require sponsorship for US work authorization now or anytime in the future
This program is open to all disciplines and majors. Candidates will also be invited to submit an essay to support their application.
If selected, transportation, hotel, and meals will be covered by Citi
