    Analyst, Product Investment Operations Location: Philadelphia Headquarters Job Code: 427 # of openings: 1 Description To satisfy the needs of our growing client base, Hamilton Lane is looking to hire an Analyst to join our Client Services Group working on the Product Investments Operations team in Bala Cynwyd, PA. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Client Services group is responsible for monitoring the performance of portfolios and investments using cutting edge analytics and proprietary technology. Our strong, knowledgeable team is actively involved in client/investor interaction and communications as well as special projects and initiatives with all departments including research, product, business development, due diligence, and relationship management. The Analyst serves as a contact for the Client Services team and works closely with the Relationship and Product Management Department to maintain client relationships and provide a superior level of service related to performance reporting. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and can operate in a fast-pace and deadline-driven environment where priorities often change. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for analyzing fund financial statements and perform detailed review of investment activity Responsible for high volume coordination of ongoing reconciliation of client assets and performance returns including error correction, documentation and daily, monthly and quarterly error account reconciliation Manage the reporting process for client accounts including preparation of quarterly reporting and annual client plans Act as point of contact with Fund Accounting team for managed HL Products, including the monitoring and tracking cash flow activity. Provide review of investment performance materials with a meticulous focus on data accuracy and quality Implement controls and audit production processes and outputs Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements Contact General Partners for important partnership correspondence Review and assist in the preparation of client reconciliations for client or clients custodian Must be able to independently assess and resolve client/investor questions and support requests to the general partners Work directly with other client representatives throughout the firm to ensure superior level of client service. Support processes and procedures to improve departments efficiency, including input into new software and technology and other strategic initiatives NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience: College degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.). An advanced degree (MBA) or CPA is preferred, but not required Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related financial services role, preferably with a Big Four or Private Equity firm a plus Must have an understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, as well as auditing experience Knowledge of the private equity industry a plus Must be detail oriented, organized and possess good analytical skills with an interest and ability to work collaboratively in a small team to meet client specific deadlines. Basic understanding of Balance Sheets and Income Statements Ability to understand and develop a working knowledge of proprietary systems and software Strong analytical, writing and oral communication skills Ability to work proactively and independently in a team setting Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) Other Requirements /Functions: Assist with other duties and special projects as needed Must be able to operate in a high pressure environment
