    Job Description

    IAA, Inc. is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join our team in our Corporate Headquarters at Westchester, IL.

    The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for managing internal audit activities and assisting in the development of departmental strategic initiatives. The Audit Manager will be critical in setting a vision for continued innovation, the function’s direction, and management relationships.

     

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrates a clear commitment to the highest standards of integrity, professional and personal conduct and holds others to the same standard
    • Assist in the development and completion of the annual risk assessment and audit plan
    • Perform risk assessment activities throughout the year via ongoing analyses, maintaining relationships with key members of management, and being aware of relevant business and industry trends
    • Manage resource scheduling, coordinating supplemental third party resources as needed, to ensure the timely  completion of the audit plan
    • Manage multiple project teams, including third parties, to facilitate quality and timeliness to ensure quality value-add deliverables
    • Leverages best practices and knowledge to provide recommendations to improve business processes
    • Contribute thought leadership and innovative ideas in an effort to continuously improve the audit methodology and audit procedures
    • Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with members of management and our independent auditors
    • Effectively influences at all levels of management to help identify and drive organizational priorities and initiatives
    • Execute and manage an audit program, internal audit engagements,  investigations, and special projects
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related field from an accredited college or university
    • Considerable knowledge of and skill in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and SOX requirements
    • Ability to conduct quality control reviews of audit work products and supervise audit team members
    • Extensive experience conducting operational and/or financial audits and risk assessments at a large, multi-national public company
    • Excellent project management skills with an ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines 
    • Ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit findings and/or control gaps with leadership and develop business-focused recommendations to strengthen controls
    • Deals successfully with ambiguity, managing multiple priorities and able to lead organization through complex changes
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a fast-paced culture, changes in the environment and shifts in priorities
    • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CFE, etc.) 
    • 25% travel requirements

     EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: 

    • Bachelor's Level Degree 
    • 5-7 years of related experience:

     

     PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Experience in public accounting firms and/or leading internal audit departments
    • Leading financial (SOx) and/or operations audits
    • Experience with annual risk assessments
    • Experience in data analytics, including Alteryx software
