    The JUNIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER will work as the “right hand” to the account team members, offering direct project support. In this role, he/she will learn how to establish relationships with clients, coordinate schedules, assemble materials, create and manage timelines and action item checklists, and participate in client meetings. This role will require great organizational and planning skills, and the candidate will also learn the inner workings of collaboration with our internal teams, including Scientific Services, Creative, Editorial, Digital, and Finance. The Junior Account Manager will contribute as he/she learns about our work processes, methods, and a range of scientific and medical education projects.     EXPECTATIONS

    STRATEGIC BUSINESS STEWARDSHIP

    • Takes personal responsibility for developing a basic knowledge of our business
    • Takes personal responsibility for developing a basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the ways in which we work with clients
    • Takes personal responsibility for learning our work processes, methods, and the range of scientific and medical education tactics
    • Assists in research, identifying sources, and compiling and summarizing information
    • Contributes ideas and suggestions for successful execution of account business

     

    CLIENT RELATIONS

    • Establishes relationship and partnership with clients
    • Schedules and participates in client teleconferences and face-to-face meetings
    • Subject to senior review is responsible for updating client status reports and providing overview of projects at internal and external weekly status meetings
    • Takes direction and works well with the team leader in the creation of a tactical plan; supports the development and production of assigned tactics
    • Composes and edits external correspondence associated with tactical development and coordination

     

    FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

    • Enters time and submits expenses/invoices by deadlines using appropriate codes
    • Tracks budgets and manages timelines
    • Develops understanding of internal financial reports
    • Uses and understands internal project management tools (Workfront, Salesforce, financial dashboard, etc.)
    • Keeps manager informed of available hours, works to minimize non-billable time
    • Works with Finance to open job codes

     

    TEAM WORKING

    • Adds to constructive working relationships with different groups of colleagues when communicating and coordinating the development of program elements
    • Partners proactively and positively with cross-functional teams to move projects forward to timely completion

     

    QUALIFICATION FOR POSITION

    • A Bachelor’s degree (minimum), preferably in business, marketing, communications, life sciences, or liberal arts

    • Ability to work independently and within a team
