    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist II will work as part of a small group of dynamic staff supporting the use of an EHR in a multidimensional agency with people at all levels of IT comfort and knowledge.  Strong skills in communication, critical thinking, and problem solving are paramount to success in this position, as is the ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with others. The purpose of this position is to coordinate data maintenance and reporting in the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). Responsibilities will include developing reports, collaborating on form development, and supporting development of procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of records. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • *Develops reports for a mixture of ad hoc and routine uses to support agency- and program-level decision-making.
    • *Develops forms to structure data input to the EHR.
    • *Assists Quality Improvement Team in conducting routine quantitative and qualitative record reviews.
    • *Assists EHR Support Team in resolving requests related to form construction or data quality to assure consistency of data across the agency.
    • *Consults with programs on data collection and reporting requirements.
    • *Assists programs in identifying strategies to record data in the EHR and to retrieve data accurately.
    • *Coordinates delivery of reports developed with consultants, program evaluators, and other relevant stakeholders as needed.
    • *Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
    • *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
    • Is prompt and accurate in completing all required reports, statistics and other requirements.
    • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
    • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
    • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
    • Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
    • Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
    • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience using standard office productivity software tools
    • Self-starter and critical thinker with experience troubleshooting and problem-solving
    • Organized and systematic approach to task management
    • Valid driver’s license/ acceptable driving record
    • Associate’s degree or 2 years’ experience in a related field
    • Knowledge of SQL or JavaScript preferred
