As a Highland Strategy Intern, your essential job responsibilities will include the following: Contribute to active monitoring of market trends and competitors Gather industry data and assimilate analyses in to existing market intelligence project work Contribute to financial valuations and financial modeling needs of the department Collect and analyze information from disparate sources Manage small scale ad hoc deadline-based projects, while maintaining day-to-day routines Provide project support to the department staff on an as needed basis, and in conjunction with other priorities Utilize various financial systems to conduct analyses, to include: Bloomberg, Preqin, etc. Closely manage own time to accomplish all of the above within time frames established and agreed upon between Intern and department Position Requirements: Business/finance major, preferably entering junior or senior year Completed coursework in economics and mathematics a plus Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ability to work well within a team Well organized, self-starter who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunity Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and maturity Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Financial modeling experience a plus Compensation & Benefits: This opportunity is a paid internship.
