  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a full-time Loan Processor to work in our Mortgage Department. The Processor is responsible for making sure that mortgage loan applications are complete, and gathering and organizing all necessary documents based on investor guidelines for submission to underwriting. Our processors often work with government loans such as FHA/VA and will need prior experience with this type of work. Regular hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Variable overtime may be required.

     

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Monitors mortgage files based on investor guidelines and desktop underwriter. Follows up for all necessary documentation to submit to underwriting in order to meet loan commitment and rate lock expiration dates.
    • Reviews title commitments upon receipt. Obtains necessary endorsements or documents to ensure clear title.
    • Reviews appraisals upon receipt for completion and accuracy.
    • Updates desktop underwriter program when necessary.
    • Reviews credit reports, income documentation and asset documentation.
    • Backs up closing coordinators – drafts the closing documents and completes the closing package in an accurate manner.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Must have graduated from high school or equivalent.
    • Must have experience working with FHA/VA loans.
    • One year of internal experience, or two years of mortgage loan processing experience.
    • Demonstrated knowledge in all types of mortgage loans and in appraisal review.
    • Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Must be able to organize work, balance multiple priorities, manage a variety of projects in a fast-paced, flexible work environment with strong attention to detail and within defined deadlines.
    • Must have the ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) candidates preferred.

  • Qualifications

    Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications; nursing skills per competency checklist.  Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.  Maintains a current CPR certification.  Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.  Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
