    As a Human Resources Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of HR projects and initiatives that support the business strategy set out in strategic people plans. You will work closely with other HR Consultants, support HR Business Partners and engage with HR Advisors and specialists to help design pragmatic solutions to solve business problems by leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver solutions that have measurable impact for our business either globally or within country adding commercial value through HR projects.

    A typical day could look like:

    • Juggling short-term problem solving with longer range vision and connecting the dots in between
    • Support project delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks - and program controls and procedures within their given initiatives
    • Provide input or oversight to how HR initiatives align to the HR/ Business Strategy and relevant global/ country business/functional People Plans
    • Effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Draft presentations and deliver them with credibility and empathy
    • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant stakeholders and governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making to maintain progress towards delivery
    • Support and co-ordinate project activities as required
    • Liaise with business stakeholders and people managers

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $87,900 and $131,800

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    • HR consulting experience either in-house or at human capital consulting firm
    • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Strong presentation skills and data storytelling
    • Experience in supporting projects and sprint interventions
    • Experience of working in an HR environment consisting of business partnering/relationship management with business leaders supported by shared services and areas of expertise
    • Experience in transformation/change and/or project co-ordination roles
    • Relevant project management qualifications and HR accreditation or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
    • Role model and ambassador for HSBC behaviours, and the ability to deal assertively but sensitively with internal and external customers across a matrix environment.
    • Strict adherence to the requirements of confidentiality. Discretion and integrity essential
    • Calm under pressure; ability to re-prioritise in very short timescales.
