The Human Resources Department drives the attraction, development and retention of our employees and partners with business units to foster integrity, growth, and employee empowerment.

The Human Resources intern will gain exposure to the wide range of programs and tasks managed by the Human Resources Department by assisting and observing in an open, team-oriented learning environment. Areas of focus include benefits, employee relations, recruiting, and HRIS management. The intern will also work on inclusion and diversity initiatives. The intern’s primary tasks will be tailored to the student’s interests and skill level.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR functional areas (benefits, employee relations, recruiting, and HRIS management )
• Learn and maintain departmental workflows
• Assist with new hire and benefits orientation
• Assist with the implementation of employee development programs (e.g. Summer Intern Program)
• Participate in bi-weekly Human Resources meetings to receive updates on current HR team initiatives
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties (answering phones, coordinating meetings/interviews, etc.)

Requirements:

• Graduation between December 2018 and June 2019.
• Minimum GPA: 3.4
• Pursing study in Human Resources or a closely related field
• Strong desire to pursue a career in Human Resources
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Curiosity and an appetite for learning
