Our Program

The WEX Summer Human Resources Internship offers a 12-week summer experience for students interested in Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partner, HR Operations and Analytics, Compensation and Benefits, and Organizational Development.

Our internship program is designed to provide interns hands-on, practical experiences while working alongside our some of our industry’s smartest teams; as well as providing immediate value to their teams and our leaders.

As an intern, you will be challenged and offered the opportunity to make an impact across the business and be involved in the company’s most critical business decisions.

We are looking for ambitious and curious students, who are interested in growing professionally and developing their skills to become the next generation of leaders in Human Resources.

What you will be doing in this role

Talent Aquisition

• Assist in the creation and implementation of recruiting and sourcing strategy to attract top and diverse talent.

HR Business Partner

• Be the conduit between business leaders and HR centers of excellence to build and run high performing teams.

HR Operations and Analytics

• Collaborate with HR centers of excellence in building data infrastructure and supporting data transformation to enable business leaders to make better decisions more efficiently
• Explore key KPIs related to HR (workforce analysis, ROI forecasting, diversity analysis, recruitment, and selection analysis ) and help our department better hone the delivery of key insights via data visualization tools and dashboards.

Organizational Development

• Gain behind the scenes access to our existing Organization Development programs by supporting the logistics. Programs include our leadership development program, management development program, mentoring program, talent assessment, annual leadership meeting, etc.
• Geek out by identifying and reporting on key metrics and themes across Organization Development programs.
• Enrich our current offerings by creating frameworks and supporting building three new talent management programs that drive WEX’s strategic vision.

Who we are looking for

• At a minimum, you should be a rising junior or senior, masters-level student, in a degree/certificate-seeking accredited program
• We know there are first years out there, rising sophomores, with incredible talent. You too can apply and be ready to shine.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.

Compensation and Benefits

• Assist in the implementation and administration of compensation and equity programs.
• Engage in the year-end compensation process for WEX while ensuring that bonus and salary increase recommendations balanced with the budget.
