ICM WHOLESALE LENDING COLLATERAL RISK ANALYST THE TEAM: In line with its focus on risk and controls, Citi has created a new first line risk function, Institutional Credit Management (ICM). ICM's principal focus is credit risk, and it has been established with the objective of providing integrated "end-to-end" credit underwriting, and the management of associated risks for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. Within ICM, the Collateral team focuses on the monitoring and management of risks relating to collateral posted and received in connection both with Citi's trading and banking book activities. The Collateral function will comprise Collateral Risk teams focusing on specific business lines and activities across NAM, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, and a central regulatory team (with members based in NAM and EMEA). JOB SUMMARY Wholesale Lending Collateral Risk is a key part of the ICM Collateral team with responsibility for the measurement, monitoring, and management of collateral risk arising from the bank's collateralized wholesale lending activities globally. Working closely with individual business units and with the second-line risk management function , the Collateral Risk Analyst will assist with the management of a wide range of collateral types (including real estate, commodities, other physical assets, cash, securities, accounts receivable and artworks) across multiple business units, identifying and responding to exceptions in the use of collateral, and monitoring collateral-related risks across all businesses engaged in wholesale lending. This is a new role in a rapidly growing area of the bank and provides an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, innovative and results-oriented individual to take the next step on their career path, to be one of the founding members of the team and to play a key role in the development of a new department within the bank. Ideal candidates for this role will have exposure to secured lending and the related collateral activities, (whether in a banking or risk management capacity) or in other roles involving the realization and liquidation of real estate, physical or other collateral in conditions of financial stress . They will have a track record in tackling new challenges, solving complex problems and delivering effective and robust solutions. THE MISSION: The Wholesale Lending Collateral Risk team is one of five collateral team verticals, each tasked with establishing and operating an effective collateral risk function in their respective region or activity set, covering all collateral relating to Citi's wholesale credit activities. The individual in this role will establish effective working relationships with all collateral-taking lending businesses globally and with the 2nd line risk functions aligned to them. The role reports to the global head of Wholesale Lending Collateral Management. Key benefits include the development of an unusually broad perspective on the firm's wholesale lending activities globally (spanning BCMA, the CCB, GSP and other business areas), the acquisition of specialized knowledge of regulatory developments and the firm's financing practices, exposure to senior leadership and a rewarding, creative, and dynamic working environment. THE ROLE: The Collateral Risk Analyst will be expected to make a major contribution towards the refinement of the team's mandate and operating model and to take a leading role in the execution of existing responsibilities including:

    • The identification, classification and prioritization of collateral related risks (including wrong way risk, and, in collaboration with ICM colleagues, the internal assessment of credit and liquidity characteristics of collateral)
    • The ongoing oversight, review and refinement of collateral management processes and the tools and data supporting them
    • In partnership with ICM colleagues, the integration of risks deriving from collateral into obligor credit considerations
    • Acting as the focal point for all key queries and escalations from ICM, the businesses, and Independent Risk in respect of collateral for lending activities
    • Taking ownership of first line risk agenda in all relevant governance bodies
    • Development into a leadership role to further build out the team and framework globally.
