    Job Summary

    The Application Security Analyst II prioritizes and coordinates application security vulnerability remediation efforts and reports remediation progress. This role understands security principles and success working with business stakeholders and application development teams. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicating security risks is essential for success.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Track application security weaknesses from identification to resolution.
    • Use risk-based analysis to prioritize vulnerability remediation.
    • Coordinate the scheduling of application security remediation.
    • Create vulnerability remediation reports and trend analysis.
    • Document risk acceptance decisions and approvals.
    • Maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Create assessment reports and proposals for security enhancements.
    • Communicate security risks and mitigation options with business owners.

    Qualifications

    • Understanding of application security principles, methods, and technologies.
    • Ability to prioritize based on vulnerability severity and likelihood.
    • Strong verbal and written communication and collaborative skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field; or a related combination of cybersecurity certifications and experience.
    • 4+ years of information security experience.
    • Experience analyzing vulnerabilities and developing remediation plans.

    Systems & Technologies

    • Understanding Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and how features/stories are proposed, scheduled, and implemented.
    • Experience working on a product development team; Agile/Scrum preferred.
    • Experience working within the financial services domain preferred.
