Summary:
Software Asset Analyst is responsible for accurate, detailed, and timely reporting of asset repository, contracts, and renewals. Specific duties will include monitoring and updating ticketing & spend management systems; reporting and root cause analysis of discrepancies in repository; inventory tracking and trend analysis on software and hardware; assist in daily, weekly and monthly inventory discrepancy research and resolution; work with third parties and other vendors concerning renewals, purchases, licensing, and contracts; negotiate with vendors and obtain quotes for new software purchases or renewals; assess process adherence and provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders on findings. Leading and organizing meetings or calls, taking accurate notes, and documenting the activities, actions, and assignments in the ticketing systems following this interaction. The Analyst must have the ability to develop and document operation processes and work instructions driving efficiencies and best practices. A subject matter expert related to software installation, licensing, and reporting, with the ability to do root cause analysis around data anomalies.

Software contracts renewal and acquisitions
Ivanti software entitlements tracking, assignments and functionality
Research and discovery of software titles and licensing.
Cost Analysis
Analyze operational reports for data anomalies, discrepancies, and trend assessment
Review data for accuracy and completeness, identify gaps and drive change with appropriates teams
Consolidating and Co-terming
Research, exploration, and discovery of data
Coordinate lifecycle communications and planning with appropriate stakeholders (order, License/rights, install)
Drive version control and application end of support awareness through research and analysis
Understand database normalization and relationship dependencies
Root cause analysis related to identified gaps and data trends
Support engineering team in identifying application packaging needs
Review existing process collateral and look for improvement related to software lifecycle management by the ITAM team
Work closely with other departments to ensure successful deployment of processes; providing communication when gaps are identified
Client facing/engaging for review of IT Software Asset Management service delivery or process modifications based on environment changes
Capable of organizing and leading team meetings
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate degree or at least 3 years work experience in software management field
Working knowledge of Ivanti, HEAT, Deltek, SCCM, MECM, or other repository and discovery tools
Experience in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Software compliance reporting knowledge
Software knowledge related to usage, licensing, and entitlements in support of compliance reporting

Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Work Environment
This role is an in-office role working in the Arlington, TX location
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, cloud storage, and fax machines.
Must be able to work in confined spaces for long periods.
