Software Developer and Automated Testing Engineers will be provided an opportunity to learn how TD Ameritrade succeeds in the financial services marketplace. The team you join may be just beginning a project, about to implement a project or be somewhere in between. Regardless, you will quickly see how our technical solutions directly meet the real-world needs of our clients. This is a full time role (8 hours per day, Monday through Friday) and the work location is Omaha NE. The internship may lead to an offer to become a full time associate or for a subsequent internship (depending on graduation date).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with end users, product team, and delivery team to understand business problems and devise system solutions.
• Design, code, test, and implement software solutions in accordance to standards and best practices.
• Work effectively in an agile team setting.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current enrollment in a four year or graduate program (computer science, computer information systems, computer or software engineering, information technology, or similar technology degree)
• Successful completion of college sophomore study semesters GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; prior internship experience is a plus
• Ability to understand and assimilate with TD Ameritrade core values of people matter, client centric, integrity first, work together and strive to win

Preferred experience or familiarity with:

• Web development technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript)
• Software development languages (C++, Java, .Net, Perl, Python, Ruby)
• Database design and development (data modeling, data structures, SQL)
• Testing frameworks and automation technologies (JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, SoapUI, Gauge)
• Technology development environments (Linux, Microsoft, UNIX)
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) constructs and phases
