Summary

The IT Technician I will provide basic technical assistance and support to Stifel employed end-users. This position will help manage and administer the IT hardware allocation for networking devices, other computer-related hardware, and other assets as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the IT department with device allocation
• Provide prompt support to users via email, phone, and other electronic means.
• Own issues through resolution, escalating to appropriate support member/team when necessary.
• Set up equipment for employee use, performs or ensures proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
• Maintain records of trouble tickets, daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles for providing strong customer and personal service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of industry standard IT best practices, including disaster recovery and high availability concepts.
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL and Agile principles in a service environment
• Provides daily operations support and maintenance for network systems (including wireless and VoIP).

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• ~1 year professional business related experience
• Previous experience in IT Asset Management or Allocation practice preferred
