Summary

Stifel’s Investment Products & Services (IP&S) provides our advisors with specialized advice and support on professional money management, mutual funds, annuities and insurance, retirement plans, financial planning, exchange traded funds, and much more.

As an Investment Products & Services Intern you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to various aspects of the investment industry by preforming a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative duties in support of the assigned functional area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Learn basic job functions and responsibilities within the appropriate IP&S department you are assigned to such as:
  • Assist with administrative duties that support the department.
  • Respond to inquiries.
  • Attend training and development meetings to enhance professional competencies.
  • Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in investment products and services, and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.
• Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost professionalism.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, related field required. Previous coursework or experience in business, finance, or related preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and industry best practices preferred.

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Additional Information

Stifel’s Headquarter Internship Program will be 10 weeks in person at our downtown St. Louis location.

Program dates: May 28 to August 2, 2024
