OppenheimerFunds, Inc. is recruiting current college students to fill our summer intern positions across many different business areas of our company. These positions welcome students who are interested in gaining meaningful experience within the financial services industry. Our Summer Intern Program is designed to give the experience of a full-time job within the structure of a robust learning program. The program provides Interns with a holistic vision of how our Company works and helps prepare them for their future careers.

Job Purpose:

Work directly with Economic Analyst to develop models measuring qualitative variables to support financial models for developed and emerging market investments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation of a text database to collect, organize, analyze various qualitative factors.
• Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Opportunity to learn from experienced team of investment professionals through exposure to all aspects of the investment process.

• Prior programing experience: Python, Perl, C++, etc.
• Object Orientated Programing
• Statistical modeling
• Strong analytical skills, demonstrated academically or in work experience
• High level of self-motivation and ability to multi-task
