Commercial Banking - MMBSI - Business Management - Associate Req #: 180087982 Location: Dallas, TX, US Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Audit/Risk Job Description: Commercial Banking (CB), one of JPMorgan Chase & Cos four lines of businesses, provides a full range of services including lending, treasury services, investment banking, commercial card and asset management products to meet its clients domestic and international financial needs. Through a network of 125 offices and approximately 8,000 employees, CB serves over 19,000 clients nationally, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit entities, with annual revenue generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion, and over 37,000 real estate clients, owners and investors. Within CB, Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) serves commercial and industrial U.S. clients with annual revenue generally ranging from $20 million to $500 million in approximately 100 offices across the U.S. and Canada. The MMBSI Business Management team is responsible for the development, organization and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives to grow and manage the business. Partnering closely with senior leaders and cross functional teams within MMBSI and across CB, the team helps drive key initiatives, continuous process improvement throughout all aspects of the business and ensures that MMBSIs complex and evolving business runs smoothly. MMBSI Business Management is part of the broader CB Business Management function within CB Finance. The Business Management Associate is a highly visible position and will be filled by a candidate with strong professional presence and interpersonal skills, solid analytical and financial skills, great verbal and written communications skills, and the organizational agility to influence decisions in a decentralized organization. This role will report to the MMBSI South/Southeast Sr. Business Manager. Primary Responsibilities * Support and partner with the Region Manager (RM) and Market Executives (MEs) via tactical and strategic assistance to help drive their business and ensure the sales team is well-informed, prepared and motivated * Support the RM and MEs with key business management functions including project management, analysis of sales/management reporting and ad-hoc requests * Support business management team to develop, implement and execute key reporting to be leveraged by all levels within MMBSI, as well as senior management in CB and senior partners across the firm * Act as a local extension between business management and business groups by working on joint projects and managing communication between teams * Identify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and solutions * Prepare presentation materials to be shared with management, business groups and other relevant stakeholders Key Skills Required * Execution and project management skills Well-developed organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must have flexible work style and be able to develop junior colleagues within the team Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of work experience * Previous financial services experience is ideal * Business management and/or project management experience preferred * Expertise in Excel and Word; proficiency in PowerPoint (PitchPro); knowledge of SharePoint is a plus * Familiarity with internal JPMC systems (e.g. Client Central, CKC) is a plus * Bachelors Degree required
