The Junior Network Engineer Intern will assist in troubleshooting and managing hardware and software across the firm. The basic scope of work will encompass requests and problems such as software troubleshooting/installation on client workstations, Windows OS desktop builds and imaging, etc.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing technical software/hardware troubleshooting to end users.
• Installation, configuration and deployment of new workstation hardware and software (may include lifting heavy equipment (printers, furniture, servers, etc.).
• Troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware and software.
• Monitoring network infrastructure and associated devices.
• Managing equipment maintenance (routine service checks, software updates, etc.).

Core Requirements:

• MUST BE a current Information Technology/Computer Science or technical/engineering, major.
• Basic background and experience with business application troubleshooting (MS Windows, MS Office), hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs.
• Should be familiar with MS Windows 7/8/10, MS Office 2013-2016 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and a concept of client/server architecture.
• Have the mindset to solve technical issues under pressure, until the problem is completely resolved.
• Ability to work independently and take direction and ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills (*** NOT required, but considered a plus ***):

• Experience with desktop/server software packaging and deployment.
• Experience with cloud-hosted platform/technologies (e.g. Azure/AWS, Office 365).
