  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:

    As the 1st Line of Defense, JNAB (Japanese North American Banking) is responsible to ensure the fulfillment of KYC requirements through collaboration with the Client Services Group. New hire is responsible for various tasks to achieve the organizational goals mentioned above.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Full Understanding of KYC Requirement and Related Bank System

    Required to fully understand the bank policy and procedures related to KYC and related requirements. Understand related bank systems.

    2. Client Outreach

    Contact ACBD#1’s clients to gather required KYC information and related documents in a timely and professional manner. Furnish obtained information to Client Services Group for their downstream processing without delay. Share the customer communication with RM in charge. In the event facing to any issues, consult with RM in charge to complete the collection of required KYC information and documents without delay.

    3. KYC Review Maturity Control

    Update progress of ACBD#1’s activities and share the information with Client Services Group for their maturity control.

    4. Others

    The Unit Head may assign non-KYC related tasks on ad-hoc basis to support RMs in a wide range of areas. The new hire is responsible to work on such tasks and complete in timely manner.

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE :

    • English / Japanese bilingual (reading/writing/speaking)

    • Ability to understand policies and procedures written in Japanese and English

    • Excellent business e-mail writing skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skill

    • MS Office applications (moderate level)

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE :

    • Bachelor or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economic required.

    • Working experience in client service is a plus.

    OTHER/MISCELLANEOUS:

    • Occasional overtime

    The expected base salary ranges from $53,000 - $75,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
