We currently have an exciting opportunity for an outgoing, ambitious, and innovative individual that thrives on helping people in a team environment. Instructional Designer Facilitator II you will use your strong people skills to build and deepen the financial relationships with our members and make every interaction with them an engaging and positive experience.

     

     

    The Instructional Designer Facilitator II designs, develops and delivers training programs utilizing a variety of facilitated mediums. Conducts needs assessments to determine development needs. Gathers information from relevant literature and from subject matter experts to assist in course development. Creates facilitator guides, participants workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, job aids and other support materials. Facilitates classroom (live or virtual) training sessions on a variety of topics. Content topics will generally include the following: New Employee Orientation, sales and service culture (TKX), job specific technical training such as all levels of the PFA curricula, and other product or process specific programs.

     

     

    Required Skills

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

     

    • Conducts needs assessment including independent research, surveys, site visits, interviews, materials and document review and completes an analysis complete with recommendations of perceived performance deficiencies and recommended solution.
    • Assesses off-the-shelf training programs for quality, cultural fit, and applicability for the training need.
    • Creates design documents for an entire program and each individual training event.
    • Designs wrap around program for off-the-shelf training, including implementation, communication, measurement, and sustainment plans.
    • Redesigns existing training programs for continuous improvement purposes.
    • Develops Facilitator Guides that are geared to the individual(s) who will use them per organization standards.
    • Develops Participant Workbooks that are geared to the audience who will use them and support the overall learning experience.
    • Develops Job Aids to support learning experiences that are used back on the job for reference e.g. reference cards, manuals.
    • Facilitates training primarily focused on job-specific process training, customer service skills, and new hire orientation.
    • Determines measurements for each training module and program and designs evaluations that match the objectives. Follows up and makes necessary adjustments to designs as necessary.
    • Conducts training follow-ups as necessary, to assess knowledge retention and application and to provide any needed coaching.

    Required Experience

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

     

    • Program design and development skills including, but not limited to the following: Strong writing and layout skills to compose design documents, workbooks, self-directed materials, job aids, facilitator’s guides and evaluations.
    • Knowledge of word processing, presentation, spreadsheet software, web publishing, MS Office preferred, in depth and the ability to create programs for on-line implementation and work within associated software is necessary.
    • Knowledge of departmental/organizational policies and procedures to prepare material, conduct training, and administer programs
    • Good communication and influencing skills through all interactions and mediums including electronic, print, face to face.
    • Ability to establish rapport quickly in order to ask questions and gather information that is relevant to programs.
    • Ability to sift through an abundance of information and discern which information is relevant to the project. Able to identify the end user’s perspective and create a learning experience that will meet the program’s objectives.
    • Ability to integrate adult learning theory into all design elements of a training course.
    • Ability to manage training projects from start to finish.

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Potential candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Human Resources Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education or related field preferred, not required
    • 5-7 years training material design experience.
    • 7+ years facilitation experience
    • Experience working in financial industry preferred
    • Experience working as senior retail staff member preferred
