About the Business: KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. (KBCM) is a leading, full service corporate and investment bank, dedicated to serving the needs of middle market clients. The program provides interns the opportunity to refine current business skills, expand upon their analytical thinking, and apply them to identify corporate finance and capital markets solutions for our clients. KBCM Equity Research hires approximately three interns each summer. The internship will provide insights into Key's institutional equities platform and business processes. Essential Job Functions: The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training to help perform in summer internship. Additionally, interns will receive direct teaching and feedback on performance in a timely fashion. Interns work closely with teams of Research Analysts and Associates that cover over 775 stocks in 6 sectors. You will learn: fundamental research and valuation skills, capital markets perspective and industry knowledge. Interns may have the opportunity to rotate on two different desks throughout the summer, covering different sectors for varied experience, and will present a stock pitch as a capstone to the internship. Required Qualifications: * Graduating with a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related coursework by May 2020 * Outstanding academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.3 preferred) * Strong accounting and/or financial acumen * Good analytical and decision-making skills * Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills * Effective oral and written communication skills * Relevant work or internship experience * Eligibility to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future ABOUT KEY: KeyCorp's roots trace back 190 years to Albany, New York.
