You will be encouraged to refine your existing skills in an environment of empowerment, gain new experiences, and progress to the limits of your own motivation. nbsp; We are committed to empowering our interns, providing ongoing training and guidance, respecting individual ideas and providing the opportunitynbsp;to develop, grow and advance in one of the many business units at LMCU including Mortgage, Branch/Retail or in one of our corporate offices. nbsp; Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join ournbsp;Mortgage department at our corporate office as anbsp;Mortgage Set Up Intern for the winter months (January 2019 - April 2019). nbsp; Location ndash; Corporate, Glenwood Hills ndash;nbsp;4027 Lake Drive SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 Responsibilities * Assembling and distributing Credit Committee Exceptions and logging status of each.nbsp; * Maintaining Priority Inboxes to ensure timely disposition of loans needing escalation. * Completing New Loan Assignments daily to Underwriters as needed.nbsp; * Monitoring Lending Authority signatures Report for compliance and monitoring Loans in Denial stage so that timely disposition occurs. * Determining Underwriting Game Plan for the day and sending out status daily. * Providing assistance in loan balancing volume for underwriters who are out of the office. Qualifications * Experience with using the Microsoft Office Suite. * Enjoys working independently, but likes being apart of a team. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented. * 3.0 GPA or greater. * College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months with a focus innbsp;a business related field is preferred.nbsp; nbsp;
