The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism; possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities. Description: * Act as a liaison between clients and broker/benefit vendors * Manage data flow to all vendors as it relates to administration * Reconcile monthly group billing statements for all vendors * Process QMCSOs and coordinate required coverage with third party benefit administrator * Serve as escalation point on benefit issues and assist employees with resolution of benefit-related issues * Assist employees through the benefit election process, both as new hires and through Open Enrollment, as well as through the termination and COBRA processes * Provide technical research, answer employee questions regarding interpretation of benefit policies, review disputes and appeals, and complete third-party requests

    • Assist with due diligence and facilitate on-boarding process for mergers and acquisitions * Perform all administrative procedures, recordkeeping and employee communications for applicable benefit programs * As the Benefits SME, advise all levels of management and human resources on specific Benefits matters and solutions * Provide monthly benefit accruals, stop loss claim notifications and other financial reports to Finance, as applicable * Manage the maintenance and storage of employee benefit records, accurate employee data entry in HRIS/BenAdmin system and appropriate administration of benefits enrollment, retirement and other transactions * Assist with development of communications on new plans and policies and communicate new plans, policies, as required to employees and HR * Supporting the development of policies related to health and welfare benefits * Coordinates annual open enrollment activities; schedules and conducts open enrollment and change meetings; oversees preparation and assembly of all materials; supervises the input, audit, company notification, and employee confirmation of changes * Answers questions and provides information and general assistance regarding benefits and related human resources programs, plans, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations * Provides staff assistance to the Benefits Manager; completes and prepares various reports, surveys, and tables; prepares, maintains, and disseminates information and documents as appropriate and necessary * Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of benefit administration * Self-directed, works with minimal supervision Qualifications: * Strong knowledge of HRIS systems Workday strongly preferred * Good understanding of Healthcare Reform * Experience in completing root cause analysis of system errors, ability to understand the way data flows, organizational structure in systems * Familiarity with carrier administration systems (i.e. BCBS, UHC, CIGNA, Aetna) and ability to trace a disconnect between the BenAdmin system and the carrier * Knowledge of benefit specific guidelines of DOL, IRS, ERISA, HIPAA and ACA * Ability to coordinate the day-to-day operations of employee benefit plans and programs including flexible benefits programs, group medical and life insurance plans, and disability programs. * General knowledge of Time and Attendance systems, Recruiting systems and General Ledger (GL) * Work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions and a high degree of contact by phone or in person * Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports * Work independently in the absence of supervision Education, Experience, and Skills Required: * A Bachelors Degree is required * Three to five years of professional experience in benefits administration * Legal right to work in the United States 2 hours ago - save job - original job Apply On Company Site * Hro Specialist jobs in Phoenix, AZ * Jobs at Lockton in Phoenix, AZ * Hro Specialist salaries in Phoenix, AZ Lockton, Inc. 132 reviews Lockton Companies Inc. is the world's largest privately held insurance brokerage firm, providing insurance, risk management and employee...
