Maintenance Technician - Biodiesel Processing Plant
This position is responsible to maintain and repair operating equipment for a soybean crushing and biodiesel plant. Primary function is to ensure that the machinery and equipment in the plant remain in good working order to optimize plant productivity and efficiencies. Responsible for complying with all applicable Company standards and government regulations. Maintenance responsibilities include project and outage work. This position may also be responsible for activities related to Pipefitting and Millwright/Fabrication.

Required Skills
EQUIPMENT USED
Production machinery and operating equipment with dials, gauges and controls.
Use of computer for entering data into electronic data system and control operating equipment.
Use of occupational health and safety testing equipment (e.g., air monitors) in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects or to respond to emergencies.
Routine visits to industrial operations areas are necessary with exposure to variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions.
Technicians are scheduled to work nights with a total of 8- 10 hour days on a bi-weekly pay period with occasional weekend work and 1 week on call 24-7 every 4th week
There are two scheduled week to 2 week shutdowns each year 1 in spring and 1 in fall, 12 plus hour shifts will be worked for the duration of the shutdown
